Arts at the Armory presents Feet Keep the Beat: A World Premiere with choreography and performances by Ariaki Dandawate (Kathak), Yosi Karahashi (Flamenco) and Antonio Tran (Flamenco guitar), Joh Camara (West African), Lekisha Limage (Step), and Ryan Casey (Tap). Deborah Mason is serving as an Artistic Advisor. Building on the successful inaugural Feet Keep Keep the Beat Festival, this year Arts at the Armory has commissioned these six featured artists in percussive dance and music to deepen their collaboration and create an original, evening-length work that tells the story of how feet have been keeping the beat over time, and across cultures and geographies.
